IPS established an Integrated Management Team with the Dyno Nobel (DNAP) project team during August 2011. The objective was to deliver a greenfield project for the construction of an ammonium nitrate emulsion plant located at a site near Port Hedland in Western Australia. The design work was conducted by a third party at the direction of DNAP. Site establishment commenced in February 2012 following delivery of the detail design with bulk earthworks commencing in March 2012.
IPS provided timely and cost effective management of the procurement, planning and scheduling for the construction site activities. In addition, cost control and reporting were key to the project. IPS were able to deliver on their commitments despite the difficulties related to the remote location including shortage of local trades and services, remote logistics complications and lack of availability of accommodation and facilities.
