dscn6723In April of 2010 IPS was engaged by Moly Metals Australia (MMA) to develop an iron ore mine on a greenfields site in the remote Pilbara area of Western Australia.  Within nine months, IPS was able to transform a track down the creek to a fully functioning mine site which shipped its first load of ore to the port by road train in December 2010.  The 1 Mpta mine site was delivered on schedule and on budget providing a good outcome for the client.

The IPS team worked closely with MMA management in an Integrated Management Team (IMT) environment to plan, design and construct all of the key infrastructure required for the mine site.   Major elements of the project included a 30km water pipeline, pumping and storage systems, a 100 man camp and crushing and screening operations. The haul ramp to the top of Spinifex Ridge for heavy trucks was also part of the scope.   Mine operations are underway and road trains have been tranporting ore to Port Hedland since the processing facilites opened.
