Pilbara Iron (PI) is a member of the Rio Tinto Group. The Pilbara operations handle more than 130 million tonnes of iron ore annually with upgrades underway.
PI engaged IPS to provide project personnel, project control systems and project management documentation and procedures to undertake the Design, Project and Construction Management of "minor" capital works packages with a nominal value between $5M and $50M. IPS undertook a number of capital works projects including the supplementary feed upgrade to the West Angeles Plant, the construction of a Haul Road overpass and Haul Road Tunnels for the Nammuldi site access and other sustaining works.
