Hadrian Update – Concrete Earthworks scope update

The Dyno Noble Project Hadrian is in full swing and the earthworks and concrete scopes are nearing completion. There have been some hurdles to overcome along the way, but the IMT both in Perth and Port Headland have been able to quickly respond and ensure progress is maintained. The E&I works has recently been awarded and some preliminary works has commenced on site. Current Project completion is scheduled for Q4 2012.

IPS Project Controls Engineer Published

IPS Project Controls Engineer, Wagish Deshpande has been acknowledged, in recognition of his efforts in an “Adsorption Project”, completed during his Masters in Oil and Gas Engineering at the University of Western Australia (UWA).

The research project examined removing CO2 and N2 from LNG using Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA). Click this Link to go to a copy of the final report.

The research was funded by Chevron Energy Technology Company, the Western Australian Energy Research Alliance and the Australian Research Council.

IPS is delivering project, engineering, procurement and construction management for the expansion of this project in Mount Isa.

The scope involves installation of; two additional filters, one dedicated to lead, stock tanks, product storage building and all related infrastructure. Basic Engineering is complete. Detailed Engineering is due for completion during Q2 2012. Procurement and site preparation has commenced, with completion before the end of 2012.

In parallel, IPS has been engaged by Xstrata Zinc to assist with the Black Star Open Cut appraisal and recommendations review - following the feasibility study to treat George Fisher and Lady Loretta Mine ores at Mount Isa. This will involve the construction of a new crushing circuit, a new heavy media plant and a concentrator circuit upgrade.

Dyno Project Hadrian commences work on site

IPS and the Dyno Nobel project team created an Integrated Management team during August 2011.

Following third party detail design, site establishment commenced in February 2012, with bulk earthworks commencing in March 2012.

The project is on schedule for completion by the end of 2012.

IPS Engaged by Xstrata Zinc

Following discussions in July and August 2011, IPS was engaged by Xstrata Zinc late August 2011. IPS is working with Xstrata Zinc management to scope and deliver the Zinc Filter Plant - Storage Shed Upgrade Project, Mt Isa, Qld.

IPS commenced working with the Dyno Nobel management team during early August 2011 providing construction management services. Project Hadrian is a new AN Emulsion Plant in Port Hedland, WA.

    IPS Integrated Project Delivery Sytem (IPDS) Development Update

    IPS is continuing the development of our Web enabled Project's Management Delivery System Suite based on SharePoint 2010 technologies. There have been some hurdles along the way however the system is developing into the Project Management system we envisaged.

    Simeon Scriven is manageing this IT project development activity - utilising overseas software programing systems development and support.

    An important milestone that is fast approaching is the completion of the Correspondence tracking system. Below are some screen shots of the pre-release version.

     

    Moly Mines Ltd - International Resources Journal Publication

    The International Resource Journal, in its January 2011 issue, has published an article on Moly Mines Ltd. The article discusses Moly Mines operations and plans for the future. The January 2011 Journal is available for viewing here and can be saved to pdf for offline viewing, the article begins on page 76. IPS have published an advert in the same issue congratulating Moly Mines on the their first iron ore production at Spinifex Ridge project.
