Grant Moffat
MANAGING DIRECTOR

Grant2Grant has over 30 years' experience managing major projects in the mining, petroleum and industrial sectors and has worked with all the major players in the industry. As one of the founders of IPS, he has been instrumental in building our reputation as a leader in project management, construction, fabrication and design services in Australia and abroad. In this capacity he has served as the Project Director for a number of high profile resource and industrial projects and oversaw the development of IPS' offshore fabrication activities . As Managing Director of IPS, Grant is heavily involved in all client projects and takes an active role in business development. In addition to running IPS, he is major shareholder in AMC Management Pty Ltd and has been involved in technology development and commercialisation, marketing & joint venture company operations.


Mal Thornton

PROJECT DIRECTOR

MalMal passed away in February 2019. He will be sadly missed.



Brendon Flaherty

GENERAL MANAGER OPERATIONS

MalThirty five years experience working in a wide variety of industries including oil & gas, manufacturing, chemicals, construction and maintenance in roles including Director, General Manager, Commercial Manager, Business Development Manager, Senior Project Manager, Planner and Engineering Manager.

Key strengths include the creation of long-term relationships with clients, partners and subcontractors leading to the winning and start-up of major Alliance contracts.

Brendon is a practiced manager with experience in all the aspects of business & project management including Planning, Health, Safety & Environment, IR/HR Management, Project Execution, Quality & documentation, Contracts, Finance & Accounting, and Reporting.


Dave Turner

CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

DaveDave has over 45 years of experience managing construction projects in Australia and the UK. During his career he has managed virtually every type of building project including homes, churches, schools, commercial high rises, mine sites and industrial plants. In the past 15 years Dave has specialized in construction management at large scale mining, chemical and industrial facilities with long build times and complex technical requirements.
Highlights of Dave's career include the Cockatoo Island Iron Ore project where he spent three years as Mine Manager / Site Manager bringing a decommissioned mine back into production. This assignment included running the mine while the facilities were upgraded and overseeing the loading of iron ore for outbound shipments. More recently Dave was involved in the Moly Mines, Spinifex Ridge project where he was instrumental in bringing the site from greenfields to first production shipment in just 9 months. Dave's experience has given him a strong understanding all aspects of construction management and he is highly skilled at both managing site contractors and reporting to client project teams at a senior level.


Richard Forrester

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

IMAG0003-001Richard has over 30 years' experience in project management of construction, plant shutdown, and maintenance projects across Australia and overseas. His has worked on major projects in resources, process operations, utilities, rail, wood processing and dairy and has a broad background in industrial production. Richard's experience includes managing the development of crushing plants for the mining industry in South Africa and the construction of a > £ 500m Hot Strip Steel Rolling Mill in the U.K. As a mechanical engineer and MBA, he is able to leverage his technical expertise and well developed business acumen to deliver outstanding results for IPS clients. As a Senior Project Manager at IPS he has been involved in establishing project control procedures and systems for the Dyno Nobel – Project Hadrian ammonium nitrate plant in Port Hedland and conducted capital cost reviews of the project budget. He is recently worked with an IPS client on high profile deliverables for the Wheatstone LNG project where he is deployed IPS project systems to manage multiple ongoing projects.


Mike Brown

PROCUREMENT MANAGER

MikeMike has thirty five years experience in procurement in the mining, resource and infrastructure construction industry. His experience with contracts management, procurement, expediting, inspection and materials control has been developed on high profile projects across Australia and abroad. Mike has built a strong reputation for delivering long lead and challenging procurement items on time and on budget for the most technically complex projects. He has developed good relationships with all of the major suppliers to the resources and process facility markets to ensure that they get a deep understanding of tender requirements and can deliver exactly what the client requires.
