HBF CommissioningPlant shutdowns can often be costly and disruptive and are often drawn out due to unanticipated scope changes.  The resulting downtime affects production outcomes and results in reduced revenue.

IPS uses its project management methodologies to develop detailed scopes, budgets and schedules for shutdowns that ensure that a detailed plan is developed.  Working closely with key stakeholders in operations, engineering and management, we develop a strategy that includes realistic timelines and budgets for the planned work. Risk assessments can also be conducted and contingency plans developed to address possible unusual outcomes.

One of the most important elements of our approach to shutdown and maintenance is making allowances for new scope identified during shutdown so that resources are available to tackle other opportunities.  Working within an Integrated Management Team that includes client personnel, IPS will reduce the likelihood of loss of production from a longer than expected downtime.
